JERRY STEWART
On the morning of June 6, 1944, the largest seaborne invasion in the history of the world took place. That first allied landing was made up of over 156,000 troops, 12,000 aircraft, with almost 6,000 ships and landing craft. This invasion came to be known as D-Day.
This Veterans Day, 2015, Jerry has been given an awesome opportunity and a truly somber task - to help those who were there tell their stories. With the help of the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA, we have connected with some of the men who were there, and they have told firsthand, what happened, to tell the story of that D-Day invasion.
