WWII officially ended when the Japanese surrendered to the Allied forces on September 2, 1945, but in 1946 man of our troops and ships were still there watching over after the war had ended. It is hard to imagine that it has been 70 years this year that so many of our brave men and women were there. It's even more amazing to think that all these years later, there are those still around to tell their stories
